Info: "The hills of Anacapri" is the fifth of Debussy's Préludes (Book 1, published in 1910). Anacapri is a community on the Italian island Capri, which Debussy frequently visited. The piece is made up of a bunch of mediterranean melodies, tied together by a pentatonic motive.
For me, this is by far the technically most difficult piece I ever recorded. I've been toying with it for more than a year, and been studying it more intensely for the past couple of months. Of course, there are still some trouble spots, which I hopefully can eliminate when revisiting the piece in a few years.
