• Info: Just some of my thoughts on this piece-- --This prelude starts with a whole tone sequence that sets off a mysterious and somewhat lethargic lifeless mood. As the main melody kicks in with the right-hand octaves some life is introduced with romanticism and passion with the climax soon after. The piece ends with a dreamlike ascending passage ending on a positive and hopeful cadence. I imagine in my mind someone waking up from dreaming as the octaves kick in at around 00:25.
