• Info: Brahms wrote his opus 39 as a collection of waltzes for piano duo, and I've been learning several of them with my duet buddy. Waltz no. 3 is particularly beautiful, with its dark minor key, so when I stumbled upon the solo version on Pianist magazine I decided to learn it, tricky leaps and all. There is a glaring wrong note in this video, but I've decided that instead of trying for that "perfect" recording that will never come, I need to ask myself: If I had played like this in front of people, would I be reasonably happy about it? So here it is.
