Music Source: sheet music, public domain on IMSLP, Peters 1970
Instrument: Upright Piano Kawai K200
Recording Method: Pair of Condenser Microphones, AKG P170, placed about 20cm above the top lid, partially open, connected to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. Did a minor equalization adjustment, adding about 1dB of gain to the higher frequencies.
Info: I had a really hard time coming up with a decent recording, mostly because of background noise but also because of "record fright" that happens when I try my best to play a clean run of any piece. You can see my fingers trembling by the end of the music haha. Most of the times I am pleased with my own interpretation of this piece, but I almost never play it free of mistakes, so I did settle for a few mistakes on this recording. This was a "stretch piece" for me, bordering the hardest level that I can manage, but I think I did ok. There are a few passages that I really need to polish, but overall I think it is ok, considering I am a "beginner", resuming my piano studies about 10 months ago.
