Info: Honestly, feel free to skip my submission... this piece is not very nice and I don't make it any more interesting, but I didn't want to skip the recital altogether, and all the other beautiful pieces that I've learned last summer are not completely ready yet.
This is the first piece in the RCM Etudes Level 8 book. It was written in 1933 by Alec Rowley and it's supposed to teach "LH melody and rhythmic vitality". I spent 5 hours on it over two weeks, and I'm definitely ready to put it aside (i.e. sick of it). Both my video and mp3 have mistakes in the final part, and overall balance, clarity, and pedal are far from perfect, but I'm quite happy about the tempo (which is the maximum speed at which I can manage repeated chords and pedal changes) and forward momentum. It even has a glimpse of melodic interest here and there :D
