• Info: This was one of my favourite pieces for decades and I finally got to play it for my grade 8 exam in 2015. I recorded this piece about 1.5 weeks before the exam, testing out the piano at the exam studio. As I recall, I played this piece the best out of all 4 exam pieces, and received good comments from the examiner: "Care with musical detail resulted in some very expressive playing. The pedal was used to good effect. A good understanding of the style evident in the performance. Fluent and well controlled playing. Good dynamic and tonal colours created." I haven't made this level of effort since the exam. So I haven't anything new to share. But I'd like to share my exam effort with you.
