• Info: How did Bach learn to compose? Not by going to a conservatory! He learned from family and teachers, from on-the-job training, and from copying out music that he admired. He must have loved this piece by Marcello, which in it's original form is an oboe concerto. Bach transcribed it for keyboard, and I imagine that, while writing it out, he discovered everything there was to know about how Marcello wrote it. I am only playing the adagio movement. Plenty of little mistakes here and there - sorry. I studied the ornaments, had my teacher help me, even wrote them out, but in the end I prefer to just go with the flow and play what seems right at the moment. So do not look for my version to be a "correct" realization of the ornaments! Hope you enjoy it anyway...
