Music Source: Alfred: Chopin: An Introduction to his Piano Works
Instrument: Steinway model unknown, 19th century
Recording Method: Zoom H1, trimmed with Audacity
Info: For the first time in a long while, I didn't have any of my current active pieces ready for recording. So I brushed off a prelude I had previously done but not submitted - Chopin Prelude number 20 in C minor (so called Funeral Prelude.) Some of you might recognize it as the basis for Barry Manilow's "Could it be Magic?"
I actually recorded it on a Steinway at church, it's a 19th century piano that plays beautifully and is especially great for works like this! I didn't get too much practice time and the recording isn't the greatest but it's pretty good anyway. For those who know the piece, spot the mistake artfully covered up!
