Music Source: Sheet Music (Henle Verlag, "Inventionen und Sinfonien", HN64)
Instrument: Yamaha U3 upright
Recording Method: Recorded with an iPhone with a Tascam iM2 microphone. Overall, I had a hard time getting this combination to sound right -- it sounds a bit mushy and seems to equalize the volume, and I had a hard time getting the dynamics to come out. (At least that's my excuse -- the dynamics surely can't be my playing, right? :-P) At least this gives me a good excuse to invest in a better recording setup....
Info: This is my second recital submission and I ended up doing another Bach invention. This one seemed deceptively simple when I first heard it, but I found it harder than Invention 8 to bring up to speed. I think it needs more time to "settle into my fingers". In the end, I just went with a slightly slower speed where I had some semblance of control (well, to the extent that I have any "control" when playing Bach inventions, ha).
Lunch was leftover salmon cakes with tartar sauce (yum).
Thanks for listening!
