- Info: Be Thou My Vision is an English translation of a traditional Irish hymn. The words are believed to have been written by Saint Dall�¡n Forgaill (ca. 530â��598). The music is the melody of an old Irish folksong called [i]Slane[/i] about Slane Hill where Saint Patrick lit candles for Easter in defieance of the pagan king L�³egaire of Tara.
